At Software and Information Systems Engineering programme at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev students will learn models, theories, and practical methods for developing intelligent systems, bridging the gap between man and machine. The program addresses a clear need for Artificial Intelligence professionals in the industry, where intelligent systems and algorithms are being used in navigation systems (GPS), computer simulations, internet agents, e-commerce, education software, computerized medicine, and more. 

Research 

The department of Software and Information Systems has the largest number of Artificial Intelligence researchers in Israel, and is acknowledged. 

This program will expose students to exciting and up-to-date research fields, some in collaboration with international companies (e.g., IBM, Intel, Microsoft, and Facebook) and leading research institutions (e.g., Harvard and MIT). In addition, BGU provides competitive scholarship to suitable candidates.

Careers and opportunities

  • Graduates of this program join leading high-tech companies in Israel and abroad in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, as well as continue on to Ph.D. studies.
  • This is a two-year program that is also suitable for students that wish to work while participating in this program. 
  • The curriculum includes 36 degree points, including approximately 8 course (24 points) and a research thesis (12 points).
